Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that Pak-China relations would not be harmed


Pakistan: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday vowed that no one will be allowed to harm the friendship between Pakistan and China. He also promised to investigate the Karachi University attack and bring the culprits to justice. Four people, including three Chinese nationals, were killed in the attack on Karachi University.

A female suicide bomber wearing a veil from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) killed three Chinese language professors in a car bomb blast outside the Confucius Institute at Karachi’s prestigious university. The driver was also killed in the incident.

Speaking at an event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack, Bilawal Bhutto said that the whole of Pakistan is saddened by the families and people of the Chinese people.

Bilawal strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Karachi and expressed the government’s commitment to “thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice,” the Foreign Office said in a statement. He said that the strong friendship between Pakistan and China would not be allowed to erode and stressed that the “close brotherhood” between Pakistan and China would continue to grow.

The Chinese embassy in-charge thanked the Pakistani government
On this occasion, Pang Chanxu, in-charge of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, thanked the Government of Pakistan for organizing the commemoration ceremony. He appreciated the solidarity and support shown by Pakistan against the cowardly attack. He said the blood of the Chinese people would not be wasted in cultivating friendship during this period and any attack on the all-time strategic cooperation partnership between the two countries would not be successful.

Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood, in his statement, underlined that the tragic death of an innocent professor has come as a shock and pain to every Pakistani, but has not affected his resolve to defeat the scourge of terrorism.
