IPhone Type C port: The biggest problem for iPhone users is traveling without a charger. 4 out of 10 people are more likely to carry a USB Type-C charger, but as an iPhone user, your iPhone will not be of any use to you as it does not have a USB Type-C port but a Lightning port. And that’s where your iPhone needs a USB Type-C port instead of a Lightning port. Apple may eventually consider some requests. Cupertino-Giant is testing the iPhone with a USB Type-C port instead of the Lightning port.
According to a report, future iPhones may omit the Lightning port for the USB Type-C port. However, Apple does not plan to switch as early as 2023. This means the upcoming iPhone 14 series will have a traditional lighting port. There are numerous rumors about Apple switching to USB Type-C port. An earlier report had suggested that the iPhone 15 models could come with a USB Type-C port. This rumor seems credible as Apple has now started using USB Type-C ports in iPads, so that the charging method will not feel too far away from the Apple ecosystem.
While Apple is clearly not adopting the USB Type-C port to make things easier for users, the company is planning a change due to legal requirements in Europe. European law requires Apple to offer USB-C ports on all iPhones, iPads and AirPods in Europe.
Not only for Apple, all new manufacturers have USB Type-C port to ensure that all smartphone manufacturers are selling equipment in Europe. Electronic manufacturers have been asked to include USB ports in tablets, laptops, digital cameras, headphones and other devices. Most Android phones come with a USB Type-C port, but the new order will affect Apple in particular.
