Maruti Suzuki Haryana will invest Rs 11,000 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Sonipat.

Maruti Suzuki’s new plant in Sonepat: Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest automobile company, will set up a new manufacturing plant at Sonepat in Haryana. Maruti Suzuki said the company would invest Rs 11,000 crore in the first phase of construction of the plant. The company has completed the allotment process of 800 acres of land at IMT Kharkhoda with HSIIDC in Sonipat for setting up the plant.

In the first phase, 2.5 lakh vehicles will be manufactured
In a statement to the stock exchange, Maruti Suzuki said that by 2025, the first phase of the plant will produce 2.5 lakh vehicles. 11,000 crore will be invested in the first phase. The company has so much land in Sonipat that it may set up more manufacturing projects here in the future. Currently, the company has the capacity to manufacture 22 lakh vehicles annually in Haryana and Gujarat.

Production started from Gurugram plant
The company does not have much land at its existing plants in Gurugram and Manesar. Maruti Suzuki has three main lines at Gurugram and Manesar. These plants have the capacity to produce 1.5 million vehicles annually. At the same time, the company also buys vehicles from its parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation’s plant in Gujarat. , Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram plant was the company’s first plant to be commissioned in 1983. Maruti started production of its car Maruti 800 from Gurugram plant.
