Earlier in the day, during military exercises, China had fired several ballistic missiles and deployed fighter jets around Taiwan.

In fact, China has been angered by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. China had warned Nancy Pelosi not to visit Taiwan, but Pelosi defied China’s threat and visited Taiwan. After this, China again threatened America with consequences. At the same time today, China has announced the ban on Nancy Pelosi and her family.

Apart from this, China has announced the end of cooperation with the US on many issues. China said on Friday it was canceling several defense meetings with the US and postponing climate talks, according to media reports. China continues to claim Taiwan. China is opposed to any country interfering in Taiwan. Meanwhile, the White House has summoned China’s ambassador over China’s reaction to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
